Indie rock band, Arcade Fire, was formed in Montreal in 2003 by future husband and wife duo of Win Butler and Régine Chassagne. Arcade Fire uses instruments not usually found in a rock band, such as the French horn and accordion, that bring an orchestral quality to the music.
In this video they are joined by the legendary, David Bowie, to perform “Wake Up”.

I was introduced to The Asteroids Galaxy Tour through their song Around The Bend, which I highly recommend, and recently came across this one. With summer ‘09 being rainy and cold in New England, the title of this song really appealed to me. The Sun Ain’t Shining No More has a fun, retro rock sound and while I sometimes think the kaleidescope effect is clique, I rather like it in this video.

Gold Star Morning, is a relatively new band in the Boston scene, but is already becoming popular. I’ve editing a lot of concerts and usually by the end of it I am thoroughly sick of the music. This recording of Gold Star Morning’s song “Pilot Light” is the only song I imported into my personal music library, simply because I liked it. Here they are at the Middle East Downstairs. This was a great show we shot, put on by Hear Now Live back in January ‘09. Even though there was a snow storm outside the place was packed.

Bang Camaro is doing something no rock band has done before, they have anywhere from 15-20 lead singers who harmonize! It’s hard to believe they’re so organized for all the drinking and dancing going on on-stage.  Originally from Boston this band is a rages to riches story. Featured on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, the popular video game “Rock Band”, and interviewed by MTV, Band Camaro is bringing back classic rock! Here they are at the Paradise Rock Club, November ‘08, where I interview a few of the members and show you what these guys do with a stage.  See Original Post at Zingology
